Description: I'm always annoyed when recipes call for marinading the meat and then you simply discard the marinade - this seems like such a waste. I wanted to create a recipe where the marinade could work double duty. Here's what a came up with... The steak sauce is REALLY good!!!

2 lbs London Broil

Marinade/Steak Sauce

2 tbsps Balsamic Vinegar

2 tbsps Soy Sauce

1 1/2 tbsps Dark Brown Sugar

2 tbsps Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 tsps Dijon Mustard

2 tbsps Red Pepper Flakes

1/2 tbsp Ground Paprika

2 tsps Garlic, minced

1 1/2 tsps Salt

1/2 tsp Basil

1/2 tsp Oregano

1/2 tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper

Whisk all of the 'marinade' ingredients together in a bowl and then pour into a zip top bag. Place the london broil in with the marinade, seal the bag (release as much air as you can before sealing), massage the marinade into the meat, and place bag in the refrigerator for at least an hour and a half.

After two hours, remove from refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for 20 more minutes. Remove meat from the marinade and broil for 8-10 minutes per side.

In the meantime, pour the marinade into a pot and bring to a boil. Boil for about 5 minutes and remove the steak sauce from heat.

Once the meat is cooked. Let sit for 10 minutes before carving into 1/4 inch slices. Serve with steak sauce drizzled over steak.

I usually season my london broil with some salt and pepper and add some hot sauce to it while eating - kinda boring I know! I was excited to try something different and this was perfect. It had the spiciness I love and loads of flavor! Yum!
