Gyro Meat

I love the gyros you can buy in the diners and on the streets of New York. I've been trying for years to make my own and I've finally nailed it with this one. Enjoy!!

Directions
In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients. Cover and set in the refrigerator for at least 45 minutes.

Take out of the fridge and in a baking dish form a loaf with the meat mixture. Place in a 350 degree oven and bake for 1 hour.

Finish off one of two ways:

Place it under the broiler and rotate the loaf every 3-4 minutes to form a crust on the outside. Or..

Cut slices and sear them in a skillet before serving them on pita bread with raw onions, lettuce, and tzatziki sauce.
