Apple Crisp

By: Violet

This is by far the best apple crisp I've ever had. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The first bite is good, the second is incredible, and the third... is just about orgasmic.

Directions
Preheat oven to 350.

Toss the apple slices with the lemon juice, sugar, maple syrup, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg until well coated. Set aside to let the sugar draw out some of the moisture from the apples.

In the meantime, combine the oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt for the topping. Add the butter and rub in the butter with your fingertips until you have even, pea-sized pieces.

Pour the apples into a medium-sized casserole dish and top evenly with the sugar-oat crumbles.

Bake for 50 minutes until the fruit bubbles around the sides and the top is golden. Let cool at least 10 minutes before serving but it is best warm.

Top with vanilla ice cream (ideally Haagen-Dazs Vanilla) and serve.
