Description: This is a basic pizza dough recipe. Alterations to this recipe are easy and, quite frankly, recommended. Your own personal touch is easy to achieve.
Combine the warm water, the yeast, and the honey (1 tsp of sugar can be substituted for the honey) and let sit for 5 minutes.
In another bowl combine the flour, salt, cold water, and yeast mixture. Knead until the dough comes together. Form into a ball and put back into the bowl after coating the bowl with the olive oil. Let the dough rest for 45 minutes to an hour in the bowl covered by a damp wash cloth. The dough is enough for 4 10-inch pizzas.
This was the first time I have ever made my own dough. This recipe is great, the dough was perfect! The only thing I didn't realize was it took a little while to knead the dough, but it was worth it!
