Description: Sofrito serves as the foundation of a lot of latin dishes. This is a simple recipe for it.

Green Bell Pepper, seeds removed, roughly chopped

10 Aji Dulce, stems removed, halved

1 head Garlic, roughly chopped

1 bunch Cilantro, roughly chopped

10 leaves Culantro, roughly chopped

Onion, roughly chopped

1 packet Sazon

1 tbsp Adobo Seasoning

Mix all of the ingredients in a blender. Add a little bit of water if you need a little moisture to get the ingredients going.

You can store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks or freeze in an ice cube tray and store in the freezer in a zip lock bag.

I usually buy this at my local Cuban store... however this recipe was easy to follow and quick to make. I bought all the ingredients at my local store and quickly whipped up my own sofrito.
