Sausage Baked Rigatoni

Description: A kick to your regular baked ziti... change the pasta and add some sausage and there you have it sausage baked rigatoni.

1 lb. Rigatoni Pasta

8 links Sweet Italian Sausage, Sliced 1/2 inch wide

3/4 cups Onion, Chopped

15 ounces Ricotta Cheese

28 ounces Pasta Sauce

1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded

Cook pasta per the directions on the package. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a saucepan cook sausage and onions until sausage is browned on all sides, approximately 15 minutes. Stir in rigatoni, ricotta cheese, mozzeralla cheese and pasta sauce. Place all ingredients into baking dish, cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 - 10 minutes.

Tip: Put the sausage in the freezer to harden up for about 30 minutes. This will make it easier to cut them neatly.

This is a great dish to make for family parties - it's a great combination baked ziti and sausage.

This was sooo good and sooo easy. Basically just dump in a bunch of great-tasting ingredients, bake it, and enjoy. LOVED IT!!
